Between a bad back and a ton of work, I haven't been able to make many "Sundays" this year. This one has been in the can for well over a month. Yesterday, I finally had a moment to finish the edit.

I thank Bill Wiora for the randomness of this episode. We ended up skating all of his childhood spots. It's pretty amazing how much fun you can have skating pretty much nothing. Also, if you have the time today, go bomb a hill.

Another summer on the sprinter for the HH crew. These guys killed it this year. We were luck enough to have the Chity bros there to document the tour and I shot some interviews/made the edit.

This was the third year that Hometown Heroes had the finals hosted at X games. The course was super sick this year and everyone was shredding. Here's the edit that came out of the weekend.

We've known that my Dad has had heart issues for a couple of months. He started taking meds, in hope of avoiding the trip to the ER. Well, the meds didn't take and he's been in the hospital for the past four days. I'm not going to lie, it's been brutal.

Luckily, we've had Conan in the room with us to keep everyone laughing.

Even better, there may be some lung issues as well. He's been told that he has the lung capacity of an 80 year old woman. He was given this to help rebuild his lung capacity.

There's just something about seeing the toughest man in the world lying in the hospital bed trying to not be scared.

So, I've worked on movies for the past five or so years and I have never gotten starstruck. Vince Vaughn, Sandra Bullock, Larry the Cable Guy, nothing.

A couple of years ago, I was shooting the last GvR event and Ray Barbee was there playing guitar during the awards. When he showed up, I fanned out so bad. To the point where I couldn't even talk to him, I was so nervous. He's always been one of my favorites. It was crazy, I've never been that starstruck before...well, except when I saw Matt Hensley, I lost it that time too.

I've never ridden anything that serious before, so, I decided to meet them at Steel Wheels indoor BMX track in Indiana and we all got pretty awesome. . . well, they got awesome and I got last place.

Hometown Heroes is a skateboard tour that I have been working with for the past few years. These dudes travel all over the country throwing contests. The winners all get a pass to skate in the finals, which are held at the X Games. It's pretty sick and these kids rip.
